Katherine Sorrels is working at her Ph.D thesis at the Department of History, University of Pittsburgh. Her study is dealing with little known predecessors from which the Pan-European League of the 1920s drew part of their ideas about European cooperation and integration. Mainly covering the first two decades of the 20th century, Sorrels? work explores shifting concepts of Europe by Jewish intellectuals in Austria-Hungary in a disintegrating Empire.
